THE MINI KEYAKI SHEER BUFFER

by Sonia G.

After the launch of the Fusion Sheer Buffer, many wished for this exact same brush but with a shorter keyaki wood handle. As we were manufacturing short Keyaki handles for the Mini Keyaki Vol 1 set, we had the opportunity to include an additional little keyaki handle for the Sheer Buffer.

This Mini Keyaki Sheer Buffer is Limited Edition and will be available starting on the 26th of December, at the same time as the Mini Keyaki Vol 1 set. All the brushes from these Mini Keyaki series will be available individually.
The Sheer Buffer with the normal length handle will restock beginning of January 2025, at the same time as the Mini Sheer Buffer. This is a sneak peek of the three brushes side by side.

This shorter handle Sheer Buffer is exactly the same as the Fusion Sheer Buffer, same specs and same manufacturer, just the handle is different, and the ferrule has a matte coating.

These shorter handles are made with Keyaki (Zelkova Serrata) wood, native from Japan. They are handmade, and the artisans follow a process that showcases very special and traditional techniques. For example, the use of Tonoko powder to polish the wood and smooth the surface, the grain remains visible and you can feel the softness of the keyaki wood. You will notice that the wood may show little dents on the surface, but this is completely normal as it’s a characteristic of keyaki wood.

The handles of the Traditions Kakishibu series also follow the same manufacturing process that incorporates Tonoko powder, and the same applies for the walnut handles of the Fundamental series.

The Sheer Buffer has been specially designed for those of us who love a lightweight diffused application of cream bronzers – or other cream products. If you enjoy these products and love to use short handle brushes, this is a wonderful little brush to consider!

If you would like to read more about the purpose and the functionality of the Sheer Buffer brush, since it’s exactly the same as the Fusion Sheer Buffer, the full detailed post is available here:

Hi, will all of the brushes in the last picture will not be brought back once sold out, or just the ones from version 1 and 2? I’m curious if the mini keyaki buffer will continue to be available in the future please!

12am or 12pm? I don’t want to miss it. Knowing me, I’ll set an alarm for both times.

Hello! Just ordered the Mini Keyaki Sheer Buffer. Very excited!!! I was also wondering if Worker 2 will be brought back into stock. It’s the first brush that I’ve ever wanted doubles of!

Hi Hlena, thank you so much!!! I am so sorry, the Worker Two with that red thick handle is not planned to be brought back. However, the Fundamenal Worker M is the same brush:

So if you would like the closest alternative, this would be it! the only difference is the evolution of the bristles as a brush will not necessarily be 100% the same, even within the same batch, since they are handmade, but I wanted to let you know in case you were interested!
I have actually been using the Worker M for weeks without interruption (unless for washing), for the current looks where I have just two minutes this is such an awesome brush so I am thrilled that you love it so much!! Thank you again and many many hugs! <3

Hi Catherine, It’s not planned at this moment but it depends on the demand. Some collections are changing in the near future and we will see what we can do! Thank you for your interest!! Love, Sonia

Hi Sonia,

I’m new to the Fude brush world and I came across your site through YouTube videos from other creators. I was very intrigued and spent the night reading a lot of your brush blogs. You are very inspiring! I enjoyed reading your blogs! 🙂

I’m a minimalist when it comes to makeup and makeup brushes. I like brushes that do multiple functions. For most days, I swipe on a light layer of powder foundation, a little baked bronzer and/or cream blush, eyeliner and mascara. My question to you is, can I buy the mini keyaki sheer buffer to use as my foundation, bronzer and blush application? I like the “no makeup” makeup look and just want to look natural like my skin but better. I also travel a lot and want something packable in my small makeup bag. Please advise which one and done complexion brush you would recommend? I like to start off with one and possibly add more if I need to. Thank you so much for your kind advice.

Best,

Holly
