First of all, I want to thank you for your incredible patience, it has been a while! We weren’t sure what would make it before the Beautylish Gift Card event started on the 24th of October but finally, we know what is happening and I am finally here with an update!
Some planned restocks will be on time for this October’s Beautylish Gift Card event, so let’s mention those first!
COMPANIONS RESTOCK – THE SOFT BRUSH BOOK AND THE PORTABLE BRUSH HOLDER
The Soft Brush Book had an update (more info below).
The Portable Brush Holder did not change. It features the same system where you can remove the separators, fold it and take with you anywhere. It’s always with me, whether I am in a hotel room or visiting my family. It’s very handy as we can transfer either brushes or some items like small palettes, pencils, mascara, into it and everything will be nicely organized and quickly accessible.
The Soft Brush Book will be available on Beautylish starting on the 24th of October at 9 AM PT.

Changes in the Soft Brush Book
The size before was 120mm x 245 mm x 50 mm, the size now is 150 mm x 223 mm x 70 mm, we reduced the height and increased the width and the depth.
It’s a supple pouch, some more depth was added just so that it would close more easily when full.
The Soft Brush Book comes with the same configuration, but we changed some features for it to be more practical yet very roomy.
It has 4 “pages” where you can store your brushes.
Page 1 and 4 are behind the covers of the brush book, there are 5 large compartments on each = 10 big compartments.
Page 3 and 4 are in the center, there are 6 medium compartments on each = 12 compartments for medium and small handles.
Pages 1 and 4: we removed the layered configuration, but since we increased the width, we added 1 more compartment and also a mesh pocket. Now the compartements are elasticated.
Pages 2 and 3: We added an elastic tape at the top of the compartments (some thinner items will stay more secured) and we also added 1 more compartment since the pages are wider.
We changed the size of the zipped flaps to fit the new measurements of the Soft Brush Book.
The flaps are there to separate the pages so that brushes won’t touch, and you can store either a little towel or small items like cotton pads.
This is where I store a little microfiber towel that I use to wipe the bristles.
THE WOODEN BRUSH HOLDER
We had to wait for quite a while to receive this Wooden Brush Holder restock, but we are so happy to see it coming back over and over again!

THE CRANES OVER MT FUJI ACT 2 BRUSH HOLDER
This is such an extraordinary brush holder, we launched it for last year’s holiday, please read this post if you wish to know more details about it. This is the last restock of this brush holder, so far no further production is scheduled.
There will be another brush holder for this holiday, more limited because of the crafstmanship that it required, and also more expensive than this version.
The Cranes over Mt Fuji brush holder will be available on Beautylish starting on the 24th of October at 9 AM PT.
AN UPDATE ON THE FUTURE RESTOCKS
The items mentioned above will arrive on time for the Beautylish Gift Card Event starting on the 24th, this event ends on the 27th of October. There are other restocks approaching, unfortunatelly we don’t have a confirmation on the delivery dates, but I can mention some of the items that are in production at the moment, I know that some are really very much awaited, thank you!
The Mini Keyaki set Vol 1 from 2020 will be back. This set was a limited edition, but it has been requested so many times. We have managed to bring back this exact set for a limited time!
The Mini Keyaki Buffer and Mini Keyaki Niji will return too!
Although the Mini Niji still appears in stock at this moment, there aren’t many left so it could sell out soon. The Mini Niji is backordered because it takes so many months to produce, and unfortunately, the manufacturing price has severely increased for the next planned restock.
We will also have a Sheer Buffer with the Mini Keyaki handle. The Sheer Buffer is such an extraordinary tool on the go that it had to be done with a shorter handle too, for those who, like me, always love to travel with this brush!
By the way, exciting spoilers: the Sheer Buffer will come in a baby size (same red/black handle as the Sheer Buffer but with a smaller head), I know many of you have requested it, so I can confirm it’s in production!
The Mount Fuji brush holder (the act I from Holiday 2020) will be back in a limited batch for those who missed it. There was also a lot of demand for this version because some of you just recently discovered these brush holders and would love to add this one to their collection.
The Fusion face set is also in production, for a last batch! Jumbo Base, Classic Base, Mini Base, Jumbo Concealer and Soft Concealer will be in this batch. They will be available as a set and individually.
Traditions T3 is also in production, I received a lot of requests about the restock of this brush so I can tentatively say it should be back before the end of the year, unless it’s delayed. By the way, for the other restocks, some could happen before the end of the year but it could be later, unfortunately as at this stage I am not able to share a precise schedule.
There are some SKY brushes in production (Flat Definer, Classic Crease, Jumbo Blender, Mini Cheek, Smooth Buffer, Soft Cheek) and also some PRO (Fan Pro, Designer Pro, Cheek Pro).
Please kindly note that the restocks may not be at the same price as before, since manufacturing prices went considerably up.
We have a lot of things restocking but unfortunately, some brushes will not restock anymore in the future. As we are working on new projects, we realized that even if we would love that everything stays in production, it is not realistic if we want to innovate and make brushes even better. We will know more by the beginning of 2025 and I will keep you informed!
By the way, there was also a huge demand for the very first Pencil One, Smudger One and Crease One, with blue squirrel bristles, they will also return for a limited batch!
Other than these restocks, we will have two special releases coming, we are very excited and we sincerely hope that you will love them!

Missed your Instagram announcement but by chance caught the restock this morning. I’m ecstatic I was able to snag a Cranes over Mt Fuji, Mini Keyaki set and a Soft Brush Book. So excited for the first version of the Mt Fuji brush holder too. Can’t await!
Are there plans to make more brushes in the mini version? I love the shorter handles of the Mini Keyaki Buffer and Niji but need other brush shapes. Would be wonderful to get the TF2 and TF3 in the mini handles. Your rounded dome TF2 may be my all-time favorite shape and size/volume of hair. Wonderful work! Keep spoiling us Sonia 🙂

Hi Sonia! I’m very disappointed that the Soft Brush Book sold out again so quickly! It’s really not right for people who work at that time. Either that or make more so it does not sell out in less than 3 hours. It’s like a game every time you release limited edition. I’m quite tired of it actually.
Hi Gina, I am so sorry for the disappointment, I understand it’s really tiring. This is a time (Gift Card Event) when there are more orders, for this reason the stock may go more quickly. We made a good amount of them but there is only a certain amount that can be made by the manufacturer for each order. We backordered the materials so that they could continue manufacturing it and bring it back as soon as possible, it won’t be long before the next batch arrives at Beautylish. During these past years we have worked very hard to match the production with the demand in the best way that we could technically and financially. And if there was high demand for some pieces, like the brush holders or some sets, we found a way to bring them back in stock. Thank you for your message and for sharing your thoughts as it helps us to know that there is demand and we will continue to do our best to make the batches bigger for the future.
Oooh such lovely news! Woke up at 2:30am AU time to snag the TF set & brush book! I am so excited about all you wrote here! I can’t wait to read more of what you have for us this holiday – I collect them every year! Any chance you could also indulge us with a (much) smaller wooden brush holder for everyday use? I don’t like to display all my brushes as I worry they may accumulate dusts, so I also take out those that I use for a fortnight at a time and leave the rest in storage. I think it would be perfect for some of us who don’t have big vanity space. Thanks again Sonia for your wonderful brushes! You make many of us very happy! Do you have any of the maki-e releases with the paulownia boxes by the way? those could be used as mini brush holders (wrapping the elastic around keeps them together).

To answer your question about the Summer Koi, it is possible that just a few sets will restock but it will be part of a very limited collector set. We don’t have the details yet unfortunately, hence why today I cannot tell you what will happen. The Keyaki Kakishibu are stunning though so if you wish to get some, I think you will truly enjoy them! If you need help or advice please do not hesitate! Thank you so so much!!! <3

That actually makes me feel happy with my choice – I actually had placed an order for three of your other brushes already (!), and I decided I’ll buy just one of the Keyaki Kakishibu brushes now so I can try that range while having a bit left in my wallet if Summer Koi comes back.
If you are still reading, I wonder how you think T4 would go on hooded eyes and a smaller eye area? T3 is an obvious choice, but I really like the idea of having a small flat-top blender/crease more for blending above the crease
T5 looks amazing, but I thought I would start with T4 or T3, as they would be the most unique to my collection. Speaking of, even without the extra eye brush, my current order puts me at… 15 Sonia G brushes! Thank you very much for making them, they are just such a pleasure to use.
Hi Diana! thank you!! yes T3 is more obvious since you can target and even lift the hood to work just where you need. With regards to the T4, since the bristles don’t splay out in a messy way, you still have a lot of control while benefiting from the more airy construction so it will work nicely. I have hooded eyes and I have no issues at all with the T4 for that reason. So T3 and T4 are an excellent choice! I hope that you let me know how it goes if you get them and if or how they work for you! And thank YOU for such a kind encouraging comment and taking the time to write here, it helps me a lot!!!

Thanks for the update. I can’t believe this will be the last restock of the Jumbo base brush. It’s my fav foundation brush on the market. Please reconsider, jumbo face and classic base. Unless you have something more outstanding coming out. Love all of your brushes, and can’t wait to add more to the collection.

Hello Sonia, I’m new to Fude brushes and I would like to ask how often should I clean the mini keyaki v. 2 set and a the pro brushes. And which products do you recommend for cleaning them. I want to invest in the brush but want to make sure I have the tools to clean them correctly. Also, is there any posibility of you selling the short handle brushes individually? I’m very excited for the new special releases, would it be on december?. I’m think of buying the mini Keyaki vol 2 or do you suggest that I wait for the new special releases?

For example, if you use the brushes only on yourself, you don’t need to wash them too often, but it’s good to wipe them on a towel or microfiber cloth in between uses.

About the Short handle brushes, yes we are thinking about doing that when Vol 1 comes but we are not sure it is feasible yet, we will confirm in December.

J’ai une question que je voudrais vous poser sur la provenance des écureuils dont vous utilisez les poils. Est-ce qu’ils sont élevés et tués exprès pour la production de vos pinceaux? ou sont-ils issus d’écureuils vivant en liberté et chassés pour leur poils? Est-ce que leur chèvre est aussi mangée? Je me réjouirais d’en savoir plus et recevoir des réponses. Je n’ai nulle part trouvé des infos sur les poils de vos pinceaux. Bonjour Mary, merci de lire mes articles, d’aimer les pinceaux et les utiliser quotidiennement!
En ce qui concerne les poils, je pense que ça dépend du pays ou des manufactures. Je travaille uniquement avec la Fédération de Kumano et les manufactures en qui j’ai confiance, qui ont des certificats ou des regulations très strictes concernant la provenance des materiaux, que ce soit les poils, le bois, le plastique, les fibres synthetiques et ainsi de suite. Les animaux ne sont pas tués pour les poils, soit ils viennent des animaux de l’industrie alimentaire ou control de peste par exemple. Les quantités disponibles sont infimes et très limitées, d’où le coût très elevé.
Ca fait environ 6 ans que je travaille sur la recherche de fibres synthetiques afin de pouvoir faire une collection espéciale uniquement synthetique, mais ces fibres ne sont pas toujours aussi bonnes pour la planète qu’on le pense, que ce soit à la production ou l’empreinte au niveau du climat. D’où ma difficulté à sortir cette collection synthetique mais nous y travaillons avec beaucoup de détermination et nous nous réjouissons tellement de pouvoir la sortir.
