I received a few pics from my Selfridges friend and contact at Suqqu and I am sharing them here for you to have a better idea of what’s coming in Fall.
I heard thanks to Rouge Deluxe that the collection would be available in Japan as of 9 August 2013. For Selfridges, as soon as I have the dates I let you know.
But for now… here are some preview pics 🙂

What pretty colors!
they are tempting indeed !
I love the Catrice eye shadows you sent me. Please let me know if you ever need anything from NYC.
I knew you wanted to try these and since the new collection was so nice I thought you should definitely see by yourself ! I am loving their newest colors, so wearable and for the price they are of very nice quality!
Thanks, I will, please don’t tempt me 😉
You are genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sonia
How can we possibly love you less.
Thank you Gladys ! I did nothing 😉 just received them 🙂 which is AMAZING !!
Bonnie Bonnie! May I ask for your advice again for the e/s? Which would you possibly buy?
I haven’t have a single palette from the 2013 lines yet!
Ahhhhh… don’t trust my advice! Really… I’m just starting out in Suqqu as well. And there are some palettes that I really like the look of in the pain but which I don’t like on me 🙁
Well, the first palette that caught my eye is probably the safest palette of Ex-15 (I’m not brave enough to wear hot pink!) because of the olive next to the….purple?…matte. It swatches to be a lot brighter and lighter though, reminds me of Komorebi?? I really liking the top right shimmer in Ex-16 too 🙂 The Ex-17 olive reminds me of Hisuidama.
And as for which I would buy…. I’m not sure. All three?!
Yeah, you answered! I just need somebody to be patience (because of skin tone, Melissa and you are targeted!) enough to withstand my tons of questions. After all, we all have to wait painfully for a few months for some color testing and eye looks
Can you imagine how painful I was between seeing the preview of Suqqu 2013 Spring to really giving all up after reading those reviews? I just don’t like to buy another pink + brown + whatever (especially green, since green pigments can cause problem on sensitive skin) color palette from Suqqu.
The Chanel fall eye palette is too dashing, and it is so similar but much better than the Tom Ford #08 sahara haze. There is tough competition there!
To be honest, in the early June, my friend and I gave both an “er~~” to these 3 palettes. I don’t really know how to work with the colors. After seeing the collection ad with the geisha look and looking at the brown tone, I feel safe with EX-16. but now, after seeing Rouge Bunny Rouge, I feel slight better with EX-17 also.
You mentioned about owning 2013 Spring EX-12, is it really good on you? And does EX-11 really fail?
I got a bit surprised with the Suqqu for summer 2013 ex-14, that absolutely doesn’t work for me as a single palette, I have to pair it with something darker and less cool toned. I often buy just because it’s suqqu, but sometimes although I think it will work it just doesn’t, I have to deal with it and find another way to apply it or combine it.
But I am very happy with the 3 quads from spring, not that natural but very interesting.
have you seen this Gladys ? http://www.colormeloud.com/2013/05/suqqu-springsummer-palettes-ex-11.html I think you did of course 🙂
Sonia I have been meaning to share with you my ridiculously simple discovery. Your reply to Gladys reminded me! With the Suqqu spring palettes and the Serge Lutens lavender eye pallette I have been applying the colors as I normally would and then finishing with a crease sweep of my bronzer (Chantecaille St Bart’s works best for me). Gives the pallettes depth and much needed warmth! Sounds like a silly no big deal idea but on my eye it works wonders! Made me fall in love with my Suqqu spring! 🙂
Great idea Stacy, I will definitely try that, an easy but clever tip ! thank you for sharing 🙂 what would I do without you all !!
I rushed to a Chantecaille counter to swatch St Bart after your tips.
Oh good Gladys! I hoped you liked St Barth! It is a beautiful and favorite bronzer of mine ( along with Tom Ford Terra).
I think I will need this St Barths too, is it more brown than the chantecaille capri?
My TF terra is getting low but I am enjoying the Givenchy croisiere a lot 🙂 works great for summer!
You don’t have St. Barths?? That makes me sad and it needs to be remedied immediately! 😉 I have so many bronzers but for some reason (perfect color, finish. overall gorgeousness) I reach for this one all the time! I didn’t purchase the Capri and I can’t remember why (something to do with the tone), I do need to try the Givenchy (all in the name of research of course!).
I have no access to chantecaille but next time I get access to it I’ll definitely get it !
Nikoleta and I love the Givenchy ! I have the darkest one, its very flattering; not orangey at all, a fantastic texture that i apply with a flat stippling brush, try it I really think it delivers a very sexy glow not at all over the top.
I remember you and Nikoleta talking about your love for the Givenchy… I don’t know why I haven’t picked one up…. I will try the darkest. Not orangey is key for me!
I am sure you know this but MAC has a new stippling brush out that is supposed to be superior to many of their brushes: #159
Say the word….. we will shop!
By the way, everytime I comment on this post it is KILLING me looking at the fall Suqqu!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I love it more each time I scroll down…….
Hi, does any of you know how the RBR bronzer compares to other bronzers? Like TF and Chantecaille e.g. Unfortunately none of the brands are represented in Denmark, so I have to buy online unseen. These brands are raved for their nice texture. I am fair and warmtoned, B10 in Chanel foundation. I don’t like visible shimmer on my face. I have dry skin, so I prefer cream products, and saw that RBR has a cream bronzer, but it looks shimmery, and maybe bronzer is easier applied as a powder product..?
P.S. I just ordered some RBR eyeshadows on your recommendation Sonia, and I cannot wait to receive them! I ordered one SUQQU eyequad in the past, also unseen, but the colours are not the best for me, so I’ve made a pass on the brand since. (Also bc of the hefty shipping cost from Selfridges).
Following to a recommendation from Stacy, I have ordered and will shortly receive the Chantecaille st barths 🙂
then I’ll be able to compare it to the TF and the RBR powder bronzer. For me even when I am very fair the TF terra is appropriate and does not leave any sparkles on my face. The Chantecaille sounds really promising, I can’t wait to try it !
I prefer bronzer in powder form but the Givenchy croisiere (the darkest one) is not really a powder and still looks glowy and even (applied with a brush, not the fingertips).
I have a By Terry liquid type of bronzer that is nice too and even but at this moment I have a little problem, very difficult access to my things and cannot double check for you… I actually had a shock tonight when I drove back from work (late), I opened the room’s door and the brushes had fallen from the dresser and the stands, everything was covered with dust and a lot on the floor 🙁
we are renovating the house and the vibrations caused by the machines to destroy and remove the walls are causing a disaster … sad…
Hopefully they will finish the big destroy works this week and I hope I won’t have casualties. Then I’ll have again access to my things (stored in boxes).
Thank you Sonia, it sounds like a comparison of the best of products!
I am sorry to hear about your renovation work causing problems. The planning, all decisions and the mere trouble are more than enough. I cross my fingers for no casualties!
I think we will be fine, just still busy around the house and writing the post about the Japan visits right now… I also have to catch up with the unanswered emails and comments 🙂
thanks to all of you for your patience !! <3
I see you like the Chanel Fall 2013 more than the TF Sahara Haze. The Chanel doesn’t arrive here til mid-August. I’m thinking quad and Gri-gri and the eyeliner.
Suqqu looks lovely in the pan and I’ll eventually swatch it.
I tried to reply to your msg. but my samsung Note 2 fails me again.
I love the fool proof combination of the Chanel quad when it still has some beautiful green. I look forward to the quad’s synergy effect with the eyeliner to work out a color similar to TF 08. All TF has a undertone that I don’t know how to describe to make them more difficult to work with.
Suqqu UK BAs show the case of the Suqqu’s 2013 fall palettes, the case beautiful enough for us to collect them if the e/s inside finally doesn’t work.
I would have to wait for the Chanel quad to August also. And I prefer the US version so much more…
Sorry Gladys for not replying this earlier! I sorta missed the post as I haven’t been using my laptop in the last few days….
I don’t really know how to work with these palettes either… especially the fuchsia! I’m not adventurous with makeup with all, and I’m particularly sensitive with eye makeup… which is bad, because I LOVE eye makeup! I will probably end up getting 1 palette with my Selfridges order in August, just so I can make up the shipping fee. I’m running out of palettes that I’m interested in to justify the shipping cost!
As for 2013 Spring… I haven’t really played with them to be honest. I don’t have them with me right now, but I will let you know in about 2 weeks? I’m still awkward with more vibrant colours because of my eye shape… I have quite large eyes, lots of lid space, slightly protruding imo, but with a weirdly defined crease argh!!
Please take your time, as soon as I know I can hear your voice again, it means a lot to me.
I have bad eye lid problem also, my whole family has one eye being “double lid” and one eye being “inner lid” (looks like monolid), so BA won’t do much on my eyes even in a paid makeup service session.
But the fall palette will be released in Sept in UK!
I think my sensitive skin issue has something to do with the makeup remover. I will try to DIY one from plant base oil and simple chemical.
OOOOOO! Just when I had myself convinced there was NO WAY I needed more eyeshadows you show me this!!!! Now lipsticks of course I always “need” more more more! These are gorgeous! Darn it!
yes they are, although some shades look similar to some I have already, I really can’t wait to get them 🙂
For me Suqqu eyeshadows remain the best amongst Japanese brands !
Oh. My. *thud*
hi Kate, I second you … ouch
Thanks so much for sharing these! I find the white face powder looks quite flat, wonder if it has a glowy finish. The three eyeshadow palettes look interesting and nicely coordinated although I always worry with Suqqu that the difference compared with their earlier releases is really quite subtle.
yes it looks quite flat, you are right, I will try to ask them. Funny because the last released one that looked very similar despite some reviews defining it matte and powdery, on me it is not powdery at all and not really matte… I wonder why ?!
also a bit strange that this powder/blush is so similar to the last one… hmmmmm…
wow these swatches are so helpful!!! My wallet will scream again!
mine is living in a horror movie and can’t get out of it 😀
Sonia, that is hysterical!!!! That is exactly how my husband feels: a horror movie that he can’t get out of! (only when it comes to my spending of course!!!!)
we were eating with my parents today and my mum asked my dad “do you know how many brushes she has at home ?”
he answered : “I bet she has 10”
MUAHAHAHAHA
Hee hee! My response would be: why yes, yes I have 10! There are few (all present company of course included!!) that understand ……..
and don’t you think the pink from EX-15 can be used as a blusher color too??
my wallet is going to cry…. I want to get all the palettes, the face palette and the lipstick!
Your great, thank you so much for posting these 🙂 The quads look very interesting and I know I want all the lipsticks x
So pretty! I wish there was an easier way for me to get Suqqu palettes. I am eyeing so many of these items. Thank you for the post! 🙂
Really enjoy how much you put into your reviews. Very much appreciated!
Oh happy days 😀 !!!!!
I don’t want any of this. Can you beleive it?? Not even the pretty lippies!
I think I might be losing my makeup mojo…..
…..or maybe not…….because the limited edition Guerlain Fall blush
http://www.chicprofile.com/2013/05/guerlain-fall-2013-makeup-collection-sneak-peek.html REALLY wants to come and live in my collection 🙂
that blush will definitely live with me too hahaha
I thought I was fed up after my Japan trip but since I arrived I managed to really want a few things, some that I already got, some that I may get when I am back to Switzerland.
Here in Spain I got the new BB concealer and some items from the Monica B. Dolce Gabbana collection (2 lippies and the eyepalette), today I went with my cousin and my BF to Sephora… and I got Too Faced Boudoir eyes (such pretty sultry wearable colors!), also a lipliner and I wanted the new TF (I guess it’s new…) eyeliner with the tip in 3 splited ends (hope you seen what I mean) but that one was sold out. When I think I am bored I surprinsingly get totally excited again ! I am helpless 🙁
How’s the holiday going? Are you finally getting a bit of relax time?
As to the D & G lipsticks, I have a few of the Monica range too but I won’t purchase any more until they do away with the awful ( to my nose ) aromal. I can even taste them when I wear them & that turns me off big time 🙁
Hahaha, I had to laugh about your dad & his idea of you having 10 brushes 😀
Best you don’t link him up to your blog or he might get a heart attack!
If my dad ever saw my collection he would disinherit me for sure & probably have me put in a straight jacket too!!
eat-relax-swim ! this is truly good ! it’s so hot, today we had nearly 40°, amazing weather !
I see what you mean, yes the smell is not pleasant at all, I hadn’t paid attention in the shop !
reminds me of 80’s lipsticks 😛
oh I don’t worry at all ! he is probably more crazy than I am so he just can’t judge ! each one his hobbies here, we are all ready for the straight jackets 😀
my mum is happy because she benefits of many things from me when I don’t want them 😉
so you never showed them your beautiful brushes ??
My parents and brother invest their money wisely in property and other sensible things 🙂 They are always aware of the less fortunate & donate a lot to various charities so they most certainly would NOT aprove of this kind of frivolty. I don’t want to disppoint them so no, I will never show them my collection, not even a teeny tiny bit of it.
My mom is also STRICTY cruelty free so my natural brushes would really upset her too. Nope, definitely can’t show ’em!!
Aw! Exactly the post I was waiting for! I can’t wait for the three palettes to arrive. I am a little bit confused about the 1/3 bright colors though, any ideas on how to use them? On lower lash line maybe?
What I often do to wear more colorful looks (but still wearable for my age) is that I apply the kohl pencil at the outside of the lower lash line then from the middle to the inner I apply a pop of powder shadow like those ones, blended till the pencil. the transition from the powder to a darker pencil is really beautiful and sexy 🙂 Kate from Drivelaboutfrivol has amazing combination ideas if you have seen her looks, she often places stunning touches and gives a lot of personality to a makeup look.
I love your ideas about how to use colour in eye shadows!
Lots of tidy-up to do before receiving my mum after vacation:
news – Chikuhodo (website update completed)
the new line – GSN
http://www.chikuhodo.com/product/gsn.html
the original line with updates (handles) – G
http://www.chikuhodo.com/product/g.html
Only P8 of the premium line is left
No SV now.
There are much more set options (yeah! Chikuhodo mainly includes Z4 in their sets as the blush brush! Z4 defeats Z8.)
And please look at this goat eye blender, GSN10:
http://www.chikuhodo.com/product/kategory/gsn_10.html
p.s. It’s Japan summer sale period now! Summer fashion discount is on.
That’s a lovely brush, Gladys!
lovely to have you agree on that! At least it would replace my love for the Paula Dorf sheer crease brush.
It’s unfortunate that Chikuhodo doesn’t take overseas credit card and don’t send to forward service company.
Takeda also shows more information on its portable brush range and a new soap formula (for face and brush cleaning).
There’s always Tommy and also our friend Kohlindo, thank heavens.
thank you Gladys, just to quickly let you know that I will have the GSN foundation, white crease eyeshadow, and the highlighter brush.
I hope I will receive them soon so that I can quickly report back 🙂
That soon!? Σ( ° △ °|||)︴
What have I done to you, again?
Please don’t dislike me. You need some good rest.
Don’t worry Gladys; I am happy to get these I will tell you why later on 🙂
Thank you again 😉
For who may be using Kanebo whitening products. I believe you may have heard of the news release.
http://www.kanebo-cosmetics.co.jp/information/
The issue was caused by a single chemical component, IT WAS TOLD ONLINE (in dicussions online) that because Kanebo wants to make sure its customers feel comfortable, other Kanebo whitening products that don’t contain that ingredients are also called back.
thank you Gladys !
Oh, the Suqqu product removal list is updated:
http://www.suqqu.com/news/discontinued/
The Spring eye palettes and the liner gel are sold until 8 August 2013. That means, we either get the spring palettes, or we get the fall palettes (to be sold on 9 August). No time for hesitation!
I had planned to buy the spring palettes in winter if the reviews of the fall palettes are really bad. Has anybody realized that Suqqu has not released a single permanent release e/s palette in 2013!? Hey! Suqqu, this is bad.
I don’t know if the matt liner grid in the fall palette has pigmentation issue…the swatch of the liner grid is worse than the matt winner 01-06 discontinued palettes.
Decisions decisions.
The fall e/s case is really surprising. A vote for EX-17!
A (I don’t know for sure, but she has so many books published) woman having some less than High Definition grade photos with a makeup day using the new Suqqu fall products (ex-16):
http://ameblo.jp/kanzakimegumi/entry-11566872283.html
She use the fuchsia pink on the lower lid line! Well…my under-eye area…
She has another post using the new Suqqu cream foundation.
Love the post! I wanted to tell you which you probably already know! Hakuhodo has J series or what looks like it now with their flagship handles!!!! =D It’s part of the S series now! =)
thank you 🙂 yes I got the stippling ones in Japan, they are beautiful ! I have to check if they are now available in the Usa website !
your very welcome!!! they are!!!! =D I want to try the blue squirrel, but I have oily skin plus I use a oil base moisturizer, would you recommend the goat brushes in the S series or those in the J series?
Suqqu MA Erica has done the eye look of all products of Suqqu fall 2013 already, there is 2 sneak peaks for non-weibo users (I hope this link works):
http://ww2.sinaimg.cn/large/64f0ce0bgw1e6oa9fi7rkj21fa0wlqno.jpg
http://ww3.sinaimg.cn/large/64f0ce0bgw1e6oa9rgyd2j21fa0wmkc5.jpg
The color intensity of the liner is done by applying the smaller liner grid over a black gel liner. I seriously think that EX-15 can be named as peacock.
Ladies, if you have an interest for movie or Japanese manga, you may think of the same image like me after looking at the three palettes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Sakuran_poster.jpg
I am still waiting for my reboot of suqqu KOUDOU, a true suqqu vintage.
http://rosephoenix.pixnet.net/blog/post/29020781
I guess blog owner of drivel about frivol would love these 3 palettes for the liner shade effect. I add many points to these 3 because of the liner shade effect and the case
http://ww3.sinaimg.cn/large/64f0ce0bgw1e6oabnlnpwj20go0p0jun.jpg
Hi Gladys,
it all works, thank you so much !
wonderful!
Actually this is how I apply my colorful shades on the lash line, same technique and it delivers a gorgeous color, much more wearable and more defined, exactly how I love it 🙂
Thank you for the poster link, I am looking for little posters Japanese theme, this one is so beautiful, I am preparing the decoration of the studio, it’s not ready yet but I am preparing the deco theme and objects and when it’s done I move everything inside ! I can’t wait !
The packaging is beautiful, love that it’s different, I am sure I will take one of each… argh….
Congrats on the decor stage. I look foward to seeingphotos of the finished room (under the guidance of your bf again)
You are so kind and nice : ) , as always I post to see how the others comment on color choice.
I see now what you told others on handling crazy e/s color. She swatched all products, I will wait for her blog entry.
I guess you may also use the posters of the older suqqu launches as well! The are very unique. I love the model picking transition of Suqqu. I guess some manga pics can be used also. I love the photographer Chen Man. She has done so much interesting themes (sadly, too limited on Japanese themes).

Oh, I almost forgot about Erica’s tutorial of Ex-07 on youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQoIJOCsV7Q&feature=youtube_gdata_player
I feel good about keeping my hands off the spring palettes to which I am not too attracted. The cases have green and pink glitters, like a starry sky. You flip at different angles abd see either a pink or a blue overcast. If you order from UK, you may have to act fast as the Spring ones were sold out in a week for the first shipment of stock.
Oh my, those actually look very wearable! In the… these colours are so gorgeous way!
Btw, Gladys, once Fall 2013 comes out at Selfridges, I will probably make an order with my friends. If you want to split that sky-high Selfridges shipping with us and get a few of the older palettes, email me 🙂 I can either forward you your items from Australia or give it to you when I’m in HK in Nov-Dec 🙂
I have just asked for the official date and I am reserving some items too just in case 🙂
If anyone wants my contact in Selfridges let me know and I’ll send it by private email.
Thanks Bonnie, you are always so sweet, but I currently has no specific thing to lust over from Suqqu UK after my previous purchases. I can’t thank you enough for considering me.
Actually Lavshuca has a very similar theme and arrangement concept in their fall palettes too, shocked.
I guess I will order the Suqqu falL palette and look forward to the 2013 xmas eye set in Nov, to get them mailed from Suqqu Japan in a bunch (so that I may have the Sept cream foundation sample). : P
I see Japanese beauty magazines are all about the 2013 fall makeup news in their Sept issues (published end of July), but the fall foundation news would come as early as Oct (to be published end of August), weird.
I read from Erica’s weibo that the single color eye shadows are almost sold out (but I won’t persuade anyone to get them as they are very AGED), see if you can get some samples or old souvenirs for your group purchase, best of luck!
wanna share with you another vintage palette from Suqqu:
http://loloko.blog47.fc2.com/blog-entry-707.html
Good day/ night!
I had purchased some mono colours, gosh they are good.. still using them, honestly they are even better than the quads, sad they stopped them (if we are talking about the same thing…) 🙂
Yes, the same things, I feel happy for you to have owned them, they are definitely the winner products of the older Suqqu era.
It’s funny to read those older online reviews and find out that there are two generations of Suqqu fans (generation one leave Suqqu with their last favourite, 2010 A/W led by 01 KAKITSUBATA). From the reviews on mono colors, duals, and LE quad cases, G1 fans claimed that these are more focused on more user friendly color arrangement and texture.
If fellow happen to read this, please kindly note that Erica worked in response at an insane speed (as soon as she was returns home afterwork) for all non-weibo users, after knowing some of you had shown interest in Suqqu news.
swatches of all products with eye looks (hope that the link works again):
http://m.blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_64f0ce0b0101m8eh.html
The liner grid (thinner) can change color on its own. Over a black liner, the red turns to eggplant purple (Ex-16).
oh nice… and her lips are so sexy ! lucky girl 🙂
they are so nice~~could u let me know when i can buy it from UK ?
I will get this info and tell you here 🙂
It seems to be 26/8, but people have made reservation requests already.
Ladies, another important purchase/ forwarding service provider Shirley shares her Suqqu swatches (best hand swatches so far) at Japan branches:
(you may follow her facebook as she provides cheap delivery service to Taiwan and ems delivery service to worldwide clients)
https://www.facebook.com/sherrybuyjp
I like ex-16 the most now (she said the fuchsia liner is a bit less than satisfactory performance but the other shades are very and best pigmented)
Almost 60% of people online express love for ex-16 (the fool-proof choice).
thank you Gladys 🙂
just to let you know… Chikuhodo are not releasing new Z series, they told me it wasn’t correct, just thought I would let you know.
sad 🙁
they would be releasing something else soon but I cannot tell officially for now, please wait a few more days 🙂
Congratulations to you and us all, in just a few days you can see the surprise unfold, and relax (I am a good secret keeper, I simply put it down in a darkened corner in my head anf forget that unconsiously sooner than one can expect).
Sad for the no-z- brushes news. Chiku is my most fav. g. squirrel brush company. But we can be excited for new things and Takeda xmas special releases, right? (^_^)
To return for the precious info, please mark your calender, lovely ladies. As Tom Ford fall 2013 beauty is coming (not to mention the to-be-used-by-girls men collection), I observe from the sneak peaks that it seems the Asia Limited quads X2 are coming. But please also consider that 2 quads from the regular lines will be discontinued (I am refering to the blog beautygypsy), what should I do !!!(sigh) I am not too sure if I should get violet dusk…
Hi, do they ever do discounts at Selfridges? Any idea? I’m interested in the cheek brush 😉
Winter (October? will come back to confirm) definitely in the past, twice for special double points every year.
But the above discounts doesn’t apply to Selfridges online store, I don’t know if phone order enjoy the above discounts.
No, I dont think so, at most you get Suqqu points which allow you to get a little present once you spent an arm but other than that…
I see. I used the Suqqu cheek brush and the Fine Kalla dupe and I’m so amazed! but I live in Greece and it’s really hard to put my hands on them anyway.
Thank you both.
great ! 🙂
Oh, sorry for being wrong for the discount part.
As for the double points, it exists (at least, for this 2013 summer during the Selfridges summer sale):
http://news.sina.com.tw/weibo/user/whyericawhy/3588079204181069
I have recently discovered that for non-weibo users, as soon as you find the concerned weibo on the Taiwan domain, you can read all his/ her posts, including her comments on other weibo owner’s posts:
http://news.sina.com.tw/weibo/user/whyericawhy
For the accumulation of points, if you spend an arm (really difficult to meet the line as parallel good sellers can buy easily 45 e/s palettes for each launch), the MAs would offer single e/s, and other mysterious aged souvenirs for customers visiting the Selfridges counters. I heard of scented candles, long wallets, etc. Samples are also a kind of point based gift, but certainly you may bring your sample pot for products that don’t offer small sized sample (packets).
Hatsuishimo looks very drooling!
I love Suqqu eyeshadow as they have really good quality and buttery texture!
they have extremely good quality, loving them 🙂 I am looking forward to this holiday collection 😉
