I used to pack too much makeup in the past but I am getting better, this time I really have to pack even lighter, I don’t have the choice since we are leaving on our motorbikes. Not my favorite means of transport but next year I will do something more “me”, maybe New York or the Maldives ?
I started packing, even though I could absolutely leave home only with my moisturizer, my mascara and my lip balm, I decided to pack some more things, still too many but let’s see what I can do…, so far it sums up to :
I need a beauty bag with a cold pack inside, it will help to keep the delicate products cool (medicine, cream and lipstick). The luggage in the motorbike can get really very hot, even more in summer.
I found this beauty bag in Spain, in a supermarket, not the most beautiful bag but very handy (Gio Style), and it has a mirror … Two zips, one in each side.
The tools
I always take alcohol with me to sanitize makeup, brushes, tools, spatulas… I also take adhesive tape, it can be very handy, to secure pots or anything. Scissors, some empty pots, a safety  pin, pencil sharpener (that’s the Rouge Bunny Rouge in the picture).
The skincare
It’s a shame to pack lightly because it’s during the holiday that I can really try and play with skincare. I take a lot of products, but in small quantities and then I can still have fun without too many sacrifices..
I clean my face in the evening and in the morning with micellar water so I only need a small bottle of eye makeup remover.
I like to take some samples but instead of tearing them open, I make just a tiny hole with a safety pin, it keeps the product more protected inside the sample, just an idea I got at the drugstore…
I keep the little pots in plastic bags, just in case of accident.. I also take at least one empty pot and an extra little bag.
Sometimes I prefer to empty the little sample in the pot, it will be easier to use on the go :
The makeup
Too many things but I want to have fun…  I will use the RMK blushes also on the eyes, the great thing with them is that they are multipurpose, eyes, highlight, several combinations and always look perfect. I will layer the pencils and the eyeshadows and maybe use the Laguna on the crease. I will wear foundation but just a little bit, a very thin application under the eyes and blended with my moisturizer.
I think I will also take the Hakuhodo J Series with me and if the weather is bad at the destination, I will have some books to read and also the J Series to review 😉
If the weather is really bad, Â I will grab the the Makeup For Ever Aqua Cream and a waterproof mascara, this way I don’t need to worry about looking raccoonish …

I got the RMK cool bag as a gift recently, I probably will store everything in there.
The motorbike cases are not that big but I should be able to pack everything in there, for a week long trip.

Shame my beautiful brush is probably all alone with a lot of ugly brown parcels & boxes. I bet he’s shedding big, sad mushroom tears & is wondering why his new mommy hasn’t come to collect him. My poor little mushroom:(

How cool! You look great on the motorbike. I have never thought of using a bag with a cold pack inside, what a fantastic idea. I have my eye on that by terry lipgloss. Your so prepared, your one of those people in school who had like 4 pencils on the, aren’t u? 🙂

Sephora sounds like fun! I imagine though that your own personal makeup collection is probably more exclusive than anything they have to offer 🙂
Poor Stacy ordered the RMK 04 blush from Bonbon cosmetics and then got a cancellation mail because they’re sold out of the 04 ( it was limited ). Anyway she was so frustrated that she then placed an order with Mihoko for the RMK plus 2 Suqqu quads AND the Addiction eyeliner in 02 and the entire parcel was delivered to the wrong address…..somewhere in California – on the opposite side of the continent to where she lives. She’s NOT amused!

What a treat!
My sweet little soft-haired Koyudo arrived. He’s as beautiful as I imagined….just not as tightly packed as I’d hoped. I think he’ll be a finishing brush rather than a buffer. Right now he’s sitting around looking pretty with my Koyudo rose & the Chantecaille Zebra brush which looks good…but that’s about it. Chantecaille is a big fave of mine but it doesn’t have the touch when it comes to make up brushes.
My Hakuhodo are still stuck in the German customs/ mail system somewhere. I ordered the same day as you did and have received NOTHING yet. It’s soooooooooooo frustrating!
Have a SAFE trip home. I think the weather shouldl be good for travelling?!

I hope you enjoyed your holiday 🙂 I’ve made a second hakuhodo odrer as soon as they had the J5523 available and got the J4001 too. They arrived in 6 days. The J4001 is way better than the koyudo one, bigger and denser but floppier than my sephora platinium stippling. I don’t have the mac one to compare. All in all, it’s a good stippling brush but I prefer the sephora one.
as for the J5523, it’s softer than the mac 217, excellent brush for the price (mac is 24 euros here), a better shading brush as it is firmer but less fluffy and pointier. I’ll see these days if it blends as well as the 217.

And of course my other Hakuhodo brushes are also here, they were waiting for me.
I had the J4001 stippling amongst the ones I ordered. I don’t have the Sephora one but I can say that to me this Hakuhodo is better than the Mac 187. A very nice brush and I am happy I did not buy an additional stippling before because this J4001 is exactly what I was hoping for, another fantastic brush !
How you manage to touch the ground with even one toe, let alone ride that r1200gs is BEYOND me!!! I only just touch the ground with my big toe on a Hawk, but that thing looks massive! Forget about being able to feel the ground, I don’t think my torso would even be long enough to reach the handles :D!
Oh, the 1200 is my bf’s but it’s lower than mine (the 800) ! Sometimes in the corners I can’t touch ground when I stop if the road has holes so I just need to pay attention where I stop LOL
Of course your torso will be long enough, it’s massive but once on it, everything is just right 🙂

They are from Chanel 🙂 I prefer them to the Shu because they are black 😛
I don’t like bling bling gold in curlers… I had some that felt too fragile and the Chanel feels more solid. The Shu is nice too but I just love black ones…
