Guerlain has released 6 new blushes for autumn that will enter their permanent line :
- Pink Punk
- Chic Pink
- Peach Boy
- Red Hot
- Over Rose
- Golden High
Today I can show you swatches of these 4 :
First of all, I find that the violet scent is very strong and a bit too invasive. Maybe it’s going to wear off a bit. If you love the Guerlain scent you will certainly be happy with these.
Blush duo in Pink Punk
Pink Punk is the less shimmery of all, both shades are matte with a soft glow finish. The top shade is a very bright pink but don’t be scared, they actually apply quite sheer, some even a bit too sheer..
Once applied, these two shades don’t feel powdery at all, the powder is brushed away and leaves a nice glowy finish, similar to a stain nicely blended into the skin.
I don’t really like the bottom shade, I find it a bit dull but maybe I should wait… for now it’s way too summery for me to want to wear it.
Blush duo in Peach Boy
My favorite of the 4, the top shade is right up my alley, same finish as the Pink Punk, matte with a very light glow.
The bottom shade applies very sheer, you will need a dense and firmer brush to apply it. It leaves a nice wash of color but with a lot of sparkles that you can eventually brush away. I love the color left behind it, a very fresh glow from within..
Blush duo in Chic Pink
The top shade is a wearable version of the Nars Orgasm and also more long lasting. Compared to the Nars it hasn’t that heavy gold shimmery finish.
The bottom blush is matte and really very fair, it doesn’t show up on my skin but I like to use it on top of the other shade, it gives a more velvety bubblegum finish, it tones it down a bit.
Blush duo in Red Hot
I had high expectations but I am disappointed.
I didn’t forget to swatch it… … it just doesn’t show !
The first day I used it, it was fine, but now, it has dried out, impossible to swatch.
If you take a nice dense brush you can see that there is some product on the brush, but then when you apply it nothing happens…
It’s a shame because I love the bottom shade a lot, if you scrape it, you can use it but I am afraid it will dry out over and over again…
Here is a better swatch after I scraped it :
I hope these swatches help you and … thanks for reading 🙂

Blush Duo in dead red:((
Oh Guerlain! This is NOT good.
I was so excited about this release, but IMHO all they gave us was a bunch of duds!!!
The only decent duo of the entire batch is the Peach Boy.
Dead red 😀
We should rename it to “Red, Hot and Dried”
Shame … I hope the others are not following the same death path…
They all looked so beautiful in the press release!
What a shame. It puts me off Guerlain as a brand.
Pink punk is right up my alley. Would you give me the first five ingredients, please, Sonia? I know that their terracota gives me pimples.
Here you go 😉

Oh what a shame! I was drooling over all the press release pictures. 🙁
I just ordered the latest RMK Creamy Sheer Powder Cheeks in 01, 02 and 03. I certainly hope they don’t disappoint!
Hi cc,
doooooo let us know what you think about the new RMK once you get them:) I still have a small corner in my home which is not filled with blush and I want to remedy the problem as soon as possible:))))
Hi Buggsiebee,
Will do. I just hope I know how to use it the correct way.. as far as I know one side is cream.. and the other is powder.. Will send you swatches if you wanna see them. 🙂
I had planned on picking up Peach Boy and Chic Pink although I totally agree with you that the scent is almost overpowering! I will be interested to hear if the others become dried out like the Dead Red. I know that was the first one you got and used …..
The colors are so beautiful lets hope the formula matches and the Red was just a dud. How is it in Switzerland for cosmetic returns or exchanges? Where I am I would take it back and possibly swap it for a new one.
As always beautiful pictures! 🙂
I really love Peach Boy and Chic pink, they have good lasting power and I am happy to have them, the formula is also really nice but I admit I am just a bit scared about the drying, maybe it’s a dud… I am going to search the net for similar experiences…
I also like Pink Punk a lot, I just don’t use the darker shade yet, I guess I could use it to give some dimension since they are supposed to “shade, color and sculpt”…
Switzerland is terrible for beauty and makeup returns or exchanges, but maybe if the product is faulty and I can prove it they might help me. It’s funny because when I saw them, they had just opened the blushes for the counter and Golden Hight was so difficult to swatch and that’s why I wasn’t interested at all in that one…
I have the Peach Boy & Pink Punk but I really could have done without them. Perhaps I have just been spoiled by the quality of other blushes which I have acquired within the past months, or perhaps I just feel let down after the publicity pics of the duos. I think Guerlain could have done better than this – especially as they are part of the permanent range. I also have a few single Guerlain shadows which have done the drying out thing and they had hardly ever been openend for use.
thank you very much, Sonia. I’ll compare this to the terracota
Oooooh, yes please:)) Absolutely!
I’m really interested in seeing these.
Yes, CC please share 🙂
Sonia, I have seen some other reviews popping up and I did see the word “hard” texture come up. I think Buggsiebee is right, we are all just spoiled with the likes of RMK etc.
I had problems with Guerlain eyeshadows before, I will pop up and ask them if they know what’s going on with their blush texture…
We are spoiled 🙂 but I would love to use this blush and if it dries like that I cannot even use it !
The others seem to have different finish and texture anyway so let’s hope they will remain like that.
Hi Sonia!
Have you tried your Fu-Pa 01 with them? I tried it with a CDP blush today that I have a hard time getting any color payoff with and that wonderful 01 helped tremendously! LOVE Koyudo!!!!!
Still, it shouldn’t have to be so hard! 🙂
Hi Stacy, Yes I had the same idea yesterday, I took the harder blushes and tried the Fupa 01, fantastic, what a great purchase ! 🙂
wow, great post! What brush is in the photos????
http://www.koyudo.co.jp/product/facebrush/bp014.html that one 🙂
