Rouge d’Armani lipsticks – a well-deserved Award

When I first tried this formula, I was thrilled, I loved everything about it. I started with the very safe 102 that I could wear on a daily basis paired with any look, I loved to create dark eye looks and that lipstick was just perfect.

As you can see I went totally wild and crazy about them, the good consequence is that today I own most of the range…

There is something about them that makes them look incredibly stunning on the lips, whatever the age. I am finally able to wear bright shades and yet still look elegant ! The color range is so tempting, I think these were the first lipsticks that really got me addicted and made me try more dazzling and daring shades.

Rouge d’Armani is a very long-lasting formula, they claim 8 hours but on my lips there is no way they last the 8 hours, they do last around 3 to 4 hours but I am happy with that, the darker ones last longer than the others and the stain remains on the lips for a very long time, it will slowly fade in an even and natural looking way, my lips never look dry or patchy.

The packaging is also gorgeous and elegant, it’s a black lacquered case with a magnetic closure, feels heavy, solid and luxurious.

The “100” is the beige range. I have 3 and my favorite of the 3 is the 102.

The “400” is the red range, I have only one, the 401, absolutely gorgeous ! This shade is so in your face but you can tone it down if that scares you, I am totally in love with it, it brightens my face and with a black eyeliner it’s one of my favorite looks.

The “500” is the pink range,  I have many of them, some are more appropriate for the office and others are more sexy and daring. My favorite for the office is the 512 but I could actually wear any shade for the office, except from the purple and the red one.  Usually barbie-bubblegum pinks don’t suit me at all but this 508 does !

The swatches don’t show how intense and beautiful the shades are in real life, believe me, they are to die for. My favorites are the 503, 508, 509, 510, 511, 519, 521, … Some are more coral than pink, but either way, they all are extremely flattering shades. I don’t often reach for the pink mauve shades ( for example 501, 502) but other than that, I am in love with the rest of the range.

The “600” is the plum range, I own only one and that’s enough, although I love it I don’t have the opportunity to wear it often.

The “200” is the brown range,  I have to stay away from brown lipsticks, whatever the texture! No brown lipsticks for me!
