In my opinion, Japan has the most amazing quality make up products, but they are also extremely expensive and difficult to get.
These blushes are from different Japanese brands that I have discovered either a long time ago or just very recently like for example Kose Addiction. I will try to share here my personal experience and my preferences, Β I would be really interested and happy to know what other Japanese brands you have tried and what blush shades you love and recommend.
Shu Uemura
I have collected these blushes through the years, some I really love and still enjoy wearing, but others I don’t actually use anymore. I thought I would share swatches of all of them since that may help someone who could be searching to compare the shades.
Overall, I find the texture and the pigmentation really nice and worth it but different depending on the blush, even in between the Pearl series or the Matte series themselves. The best thing with these is to search for a shade you like then read the specific review on that shade, if you don’t have access to a Shu counter this might be the only way you can check if you will be happy with it.
I am a bit upset that Shu discontinued the old packaging and Β repackaged the same shades into a different packaging, with a different name, or number. This is so cheeky ! I wouldn’t mind them adding a prefix or a letter to the new repackaged blush but what they did is very confusing in my opinion.
The ones I prefer are the P36D (P531 may be the same..), on its own or on top of other blushes, P14 (P175 is the same) is such a beautiful pigmented and silky texture, P366, and of course the insane P red 19, this one is so scary and probably the most stunning blush in the world but not easy to wear… when applied the gold shine “dominates” the red for a very dramatic goldish red shine… so beautiful and so creamy, to die for. It’s LE and so long gone sorry about that, I got mine via a swap in MUA, I was in the hunt for a dramatic blush, that sure did it.
Some of these blushes, I don’t bother wearing anymore, like the cream blush in Amber, it just does not last at all, shame because I love the color ! Β The Matte M761 was for contouring and doesn’t feel chalky, but for contouring I prefer an even less powdery texture and even more finely milled that will be totally invisible on my skin. Also the reason why I don’t wear Shu so often today is because I want and need more long-lasting blushes…
RMK
With RMK you will get everything you want from a blush, the best texture, long-lasting and stunning shades. I have nothing else to add about these, they are my HG blushes and they probably will remain my HG forever.
These two are from the Ingenious Powder Cheeks range. The P-09 Holographic Soft Coral is such a beautiful shade of coral, so easy to wear, silky and glowy, not shimmery at all.
The P-10 Holographic Coral Pink is not as subtle as the P-09, but still perfectly wearable shine.
The Mix Colors for Cheeks are little gems. My favorites are 02 and 04, they last all day, the glow they provide is close to perfection. You have 3 products in one, or even more because you can mix 2 shades only, worth the price and definitely HG. I recommend you to try RMK blushes, for the texture, the stunning shades and lasting power, they are expensive but well, we can’t have it all… but if you don’t know them yet, they will knock your socks off…
Kose Addiction
I have just recently discovered Kose Addiction.. I love the eyeshadows but the blushes I am not that obsessed with.
Crush is a nice highlighter that reminds me of Guerlain Meteorites but with glitters, they eventually disappear.., but you have to know they could still be there, it reminds me of Nars Liberty, but the Nars feels so awfully gritty near the Addiction. Revenge is a bright stunning shade that I can wear anytime but with a light hand, Good Girl is a perfect shade for the day at the office, I was expecting a darker shade but it still does show on my NW25 skin. Since I only got them a few days ago, I still need to experiment with them.
If you look at the other two Heart & Heart and Emotional, there is a full world of sparkles in there. If you can pull them of, perfect, they are gorgeous, if you don’t like sparkles and obvious gold shine, then avoid them.
I have swatched them together with other similar blushes, could help you to see their pigmentation and sparkle effect.
My favorites are the Lancome and the R&R, the LM is not very pigmented and does not last, the Nars has too much sparkles and not enough pigmentation. The Sleek has nice texture but too much gold and it does not suit me at all. The two Addiction blushes are really gorgeous, very pigmented and they will last longer but be aware of the gold sparkles and shine…
The Addiction Emotional is really flattering but too many obvious sparkles so unless it’s for a very dramatic evening out, I won’t be using it… This is a picture of me wearing the Emotional blush, maybe you can see the shine… love the color, but too many sparkles, the color stayed the whole day, but so did the sparkles…
Suqqu
Suqqu is probably the most expensive, but has the most easy to wear make up line, if I cannot do my make up in the morning, I take one eyeshadow palette and one blush palette, without even checking which ones, I never had a problem, they always worked with everything I was wearing or pairing. That’s such an expensive brand, but it’s a “coup de coeur” and never disappoints me.
The Nuancing cheeks are fantastic blushes, you can use only one shade or both together on blended side by side. My favorite is the EX-02, when you mix the two shades the result is like a fluorescent and unique gorgeous coral kind of shade, without sparkles and with a natural satin glow.
The Balancing Cheeks has one highlighter and one neutral cheek color. This cheek color is so neutral that I could not even make it show on the swatch… They don’t feel powdery at all but I need to really pick a lot of product to make it show on my skin.
The next palette is LE, I still want to mention it here because if you EVER have the possibility to get it, just get it.
Gollum strikes again, I don’t even want to use it because I don’t want to run out… sad… π
Lunasol
I got this blush in a swap, it comes from the huge 10th anniversary Lunasol palette. I have depotted it because I was not using the rest of the palette. This blush travels with me when I am on holidays and I only take 3…
It’s a beautiful natural blush with micro sparkles, not really noticeable, it’s the only Lunasol blush I own, if the rest of the Lunasol blushes are as good as this one, it’s a dangerous brand for me.
Cle de Peau
Also the only blush I own from this brand. It looks complex on the pan, it’s a very flattering coral peach shade, provides a gorgeous subtle glow, Β perfect texture, feels just like satin and not powdery at all. The highlighter shade has subtle micro sparkles, they eventually disappear and don’t bother me at all.
Other Shiseido or Sisley blushes…
These are my oldest blushes, some feel a bit more powdery than others but the finish is extremely appropriate for work and never chalky. I love the shade 6, I believe it’s the “Innocent Rose” from Shiseido. I am so sorry I don’t remember the names of the others and I have depotted them so I could not find out. They are all very good blushes but they get neglected at this moment since I have discovered Suqqu and RMK π
I think the 1, 2 and 3 are from Shiseido “Luminizing satin face color” and the the 4, 5, 6 from Shiseido “Accentuating powder blush”. The 7 and 8 are from Sisley but I don’t remember the names…
Bottom Line
- The most incredible, but not necessarily wearable, blush : Shu Uemura P red 19d
- The most beautiful finish : RMK
- The most “I don’t need to think yet it will look gorgeous.. well..kind of…” : Suqqu
- The most long-lasting : RMK
- The best texture : RMK, followed by Suqqu
- The most beautiful blush shade : the pink in Suqqu Face Palette EX-01
- The most unique blush shade : Suqqu Nuancing Cheeks EX-02 mixed together
- The most worth it : RMK
My top favorites :
- RMK Mix 02 and 04 and Ingenious P-09
- Suqqu Nuancing Cheeks EX-02
- Suqqu face palette EX-01
Have you tried these or other Japanese brands ? Are they any shades you recommend ? Do you have any favorites ?
Thanks for reading π

The number 7 in your last picture is a kanebo sensai blush π while the sisley one is probably the peach color. I have two Lunasol blushes but as they have some tiny sparkles I don’t use them, I like satin-matte textures. I bought some time ago Jull Stuart little bouquet but texture is very powdery and this one is quite pigmented, so not easiest to control. The other japanese blush I have is Majolica majorca (OR something), the color is soo beautyful, texture is good too but doesn’t last on my oily skin, I’ve never managed to find sush a gorgeous bright coraly pink blush. As for shiseido, I have some of the accentuating sticks and am quite happy with them but largely prefer le mΓ©tier de beautΓ© fresh tints (their coral nymph is my favorite) and fusion beauty for cream blushes. I’ve bought a few days ago the esprique melty cheeks in OR400, while the color is really cute, it doesn’t last as well as the shiseido sticks (I have rubis flush and peach flush). As for the sisley, I’m totally in love with the two blushes I have : the mango duo is soooo beautyful and the litchi one lightly applied with the appropriate brush is very good also, the texture is exactly the one I prefer : firmly pressed, not powdery, I can control pigmentation and it stays from morning till evening and love the smell. You tempt me with the rmk blushes, I already love everything I’ve purchased from this brand (brushes, cream eyeliners).
Ah forgot to mention the new Kate cream cheek colors : nice colors and texture but non existing lasting power.
Sorry for the long reply π
oh fantastic, thank you Nikoleta, now I know what the other two blushes are !
It’s thanks to your comments that I discover other brands and products so I really appreciate all these comments and keep them as a reference and check the brands out as soon as I have the chance !
Like you I love satin-matte textures, you probably would love the RMK P09 then π
thanks again for sharing π
believe or not, I have the LMdB fresh tints and I was going to review them soon hopefully, pictures already taken but I need a bit more time to test !
Excellent timing, Sonia – I was planning to go to the RMK counter tomorrow! I value your opinion, so I will look out for the blushes π
Great, let me know what happened at the counter π
Ahhhh you know I was waiting for this post! Beautiful! Your descriptions and swatches are as helpful as they are enabling! As far as Japanese blushes I have 3 Cle de Peau and don’t seem to reach for them as often as I should (probably because I can’t keep my hands off my TF)… I am still waiting (sorry to repeat and repeat) for my RMK order…you would think I was waiting for a brain transplant!
As far as Japanese cosmetics only have CDP in “color” but use or have used Shiseido, Kanebo, and CDP skin care and love those lines! By the way lets talk skincare!!
I know you said you are extremely dry but your skin looks wonderful and no lines to be seen!!
xo
Stacy
Not there yet ? oh no !!! I hope they will arrive soon ! awful when you wait so long !!! and I want to know if you liked them too π
Thank you Stacy <3 Oh I am afraid there are lines… , probably the make up is hiding them a bit ! do you have dry skin too ?
Mmmmmmmmm……NICE:))
Another FANTASTIC marathon post! I’m going to be dreaming of blushes tonight for sure:)
Today, after paying a horrible ransom I was able to take two packages home from customs.
I had ordered a few of the Laduree pressed cheek colors – only the refills. I decided to skip the OTT packaging:)) I have popped them in a Z palette with a few others I ordered from THREE.
The # 11 Laduree is the one I was looking forward to most & it’s BEAUTIFUL on. It gives one the just came in from the cold flushed cheeks. Extremely pigmented !! Even with my IPSA squirrel brush – which gives me featherlight application – I had the feeling I needed to tone it down a bit. That’s when my trusty Le Metier blush brush or my Nars Yachiyo come to the rescue & blend, blend, blend!!
The other parcel was my Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes which took over 6 weeks to finally get here!. I’ve been wanting to try these for ages now so I’m excited about them too:))
Geeze, I wish I had more than 2 cheeks!!
I want to try Laduree make up so bad ! I had no idea that the pigmentation of these was so intense, I am glad to see you were able to try them and that you love them ! I will have to try them one day… I had them in my cart several times but never had the courage to order… sigh…
I have 5 Tarte blushes, my favorites are Exposed and Tipsy, by the way Tipsy is very close to Suqqu EX-02 mixed together, very bright and long lasting !
I agree, 2 cheeks is not enough !!! π
I haven’t tried the others yet, but the # 11 is potent stuff:)) It works more like a stain. Love it!!
I have only swatched the Tarte blushes so far but I think Blissful, Tipsy & Amused are my favourites. I didn’t get Exposed ……darn!! I should have asked you first. I will have to order that one TODAY!
Another blush which i really want is the RMK mix coral-beige 04 but it’s neither available at Beauty Bay nor Look Fantastic. I’ll have to order from Japan I think.
WHERE are your wrinkles????????????
I do have dry skin, dry and dehydrated. Where I live we are in the months of high humidity but by the end of the day I just want to layer my face and neck with creme! I am always looking for that next best product π
I have never tried any of these brands, but you make SUCH a good case to try them ALL, Sonia!!! You’re really a terrible enabler, you know that? π I want every product you show on here!
oh am I ? π
If you have to try only one, choose RMK… they are not paying me, I promess π
I love your look with the MUFE yellow cream shadow by the way and the combination is gorgeous !
I’ve never been into blushes due the fact that I haven’t found a flattering color for daily wear; just reading about your love for the RMK blushes is something i look forward to getting my hands on. Btw, all the colors are beautiful.
Thank you Pang, I think it’s important that you find a shade you’ll love to wear on a daily basis. It made a huge difference for me. I noticed that when I wear a flattering shade I get many compliments and I even got stopped at the airport check-in since they could not believe I had the age showing in my passport π same at the doctor’s… I was so happy of course ! a nice glowing blush can really help sometimes π
I agree, a healthy blush – even if artificial – does wonders in lifting my aging face & sometimes tired looking complexion.
Up to age 35 I really wore pretty much no makeup as I just didn’t feel I needed it but now ( 2 years short of 50 – how did that happen SO fast?!?? ) doing eyebrows, lashes & blush are my daily minimum MUSTS to make me feel good.
Whoa!! Nice collections you have!!
Now I am thinking if I should also get the RMK Mix Color 04.. Would it suit my NC25 skin? Hmm..
Suqqu is a bit out of reach for me.. π Lunasol, though, I could easily get them. They also have the similar face palette like the Suqqu Face Palette EX-01 but I have never tried them.
Oh yeah, I have also got myself the RMK’s 15th Anniversary cheek palette in 01 Pink Coral (http://www.rmkrmk.com/global/products/makeup/cheeks/rmk_15th_anniversary_cheek_palette.html) and I thought it is a very versatile palette. I can swatch the yellow and white (fairy’s head) for highlighting and the other 3 remaining colors for cheeks. Agree fully with Buggsiebee that 2 cheeks are never enough!! π
I think it would suit you… but I cannot think straight with these blushes ! my love is too blind !
The RMK palette you got looks gorgeous !! waw, I hope they have it in Selfridges π
Maybe we should start a trend… wear blush on other parts of our bodies π
I haven’t got the 15th Anniversary cheek palette either….yet…… but I see it’s available at Look Fantastic:))
Sonia really got me hooked onto RMK!!
I’m also NC25 and I’m dead certain that the RMK mix 04 would look good on both of us!! The only place I can find it though is in Japanese online stores:((
I think i’ll eventually have to give in and order there…… AGAIN!!
Perhaps I should rather save my money for some cosmetic surgery and have a few more cheeks added to my body so that i can use up my ever-increasing blush stash before I die:))
Ok Buggsiebee I am right behind you and agree… How did this happen so fast????
I guess we better make our trip to Japan within the next two years… just as a goal π
I can only imagine how amazingly fun financially dangerous that would be! But I can NOT think of a more incredible way to celebrate a big birthday!!!!!!
xo Stacy
You make me laugh so hard π π π
Ooooo.. You are dead certain, eh? Now I am really tempted!!
I just called my local RMK stores (all 3 of them), and the Mix 04 is out of stock. Well, just have to wait until they stock up then. π
I remember being rather unimpressed about turning 40 and now it’s almost 50!!
When I complain my dad just asks how the heck he feels having a 50 year old daughter:))
I think I could well have have financed a world trip by now with the money I’ve invested in accessing ‘hard to find’ blushes & brushes & things.
I’ve never been to Asia so a trip to Japan sounds like an excellent idea.
Best buy myself a padlocked piggybank:)).
Did you get your RMK blush/ blushes yet?
Too funny! I had the exact same conversation with my dad recently! I too could have gone around the world and back with the money I have spent on my “addiction”.
No RMK yet!! I am hoping today………….
PLEASE tell me that you have your RMK now??
How frustrating!!
Hello Buggsiebee!
I DON”T have my order YET!!!! Ugggggg! I am soooo frustrated! I emailed the company and they basically told me if I don’t have it after 20 business days to contact them. They obviously don’t know I am an INSTANT gratification type of customer π
Hey here’s something I didn’t know till today.
Are you aware that RMK and SUQQU are manufactured by the same company?
No wonder you love them both the most. They have the same mummy:)))
oh do they ? good to know π that explains…
I hear you Stacy!! Waiting for the delivery man to arrive is a test of patience I could well do without.
Are you selling any of the Shu Uemura blushes? I am very much interested in them. Please let me know π
Hi Ricci,
No I am sorry I am not selling them. If you need any help finding sites that do sell them, please let me know.
Bye for now
I love blushes!! They all look great but my fav would have to be RMK mix color 01 pink and Suquu. Would love to get my hands on them but unfortunately, I don’t think they have Suquu here where I am (Korea):(
I was looking for a blush that lasts long and something that is wearable daily so I’ll definately try RMK when I get a chance! Is there a way you can buy Suquu from outside of Japan? Online store maybe(do they ship internationally?) You have a very gorgeous skin by the way. It’s very healthy and glowy.
Hi Jas π
you definitely have to try RMK mix for cheeks, they last long and give the most beautiful finish for day or evening.
You normally can get RMK (and Suqqu I think) in Bonboncosmetics and their prices are not that bad compared to others.
Look at my Shopping Links menu as well, I have mentioned who sells RMK and Suqqu, but some online resellers put a much higher price so just check out the items you want and in several places to have a better idea of the final price including the shipping for Korea.
There is also the possibility to buy Suqqu and RMK on the Selfridges UK site and they do ship internationally (if you call them), the shipping is very expensive but if you really want Suqqu, their prices are good and depending on what you buy it may end being even cheaper than in other online shops !
Thank you, RMK helps a lot π
I guess I’m really lucky to be able to go to Selfridges and spend hours at all the different counters π Yesterday I bought the Suqqu blusher , and I was given a few Frame Fix foundation samples . I know your HG foundation is the Ellis Faas , so I slathered myself in the 102 and left it on for ages !! When I tried the Suqqu I was amzed at the flawlessness of the finish , but you know what , it looks TOO perfect , too mask-like !!! Is that why you prefer the Ellis Faas Sonia ? A previous post-follower said that it’s on niche-beauty at half-price , but it doesn’t tell you whether it’s the pen or bottle , or how much you’re getting , it just has a square of colour . I’m not sure it’s o.k. What do you think please Sonia ? thanks Helen
yes you are lucky Helen π
I am not looking for a heavy coverage, that’s right, I prefer a lighter coverage that looks more natural, I haven’t tried that Suqqu one but if it covers too much I guess I would not use it. Maybe that Suqqu foundation is good enough for a heavier coverage on very dry skin but often the foundations that deliver a more opaque aspect are not gentle with dry skin, I may be wrong but I have been told that so many times and when I tried, it happened to be true. If I knew of a heavy foundation that I could wear on my dry skin, I think I would love to wear it occasionally but that did not happen yet… If I go for a heavier type of coverage like the one delivered by the Kevyn Aucoin SSE, then I do need to mix it with a high quantity of my daily moisturizer in order to have a comfortable wear, but my skin is really very very very dry… I insist very dry.
Also since I started using the Astalift jelly, my skin has less pigmentation irregularities (I still have A LOT) but I don’t need and I don’t want so much coverage, the one delivered by EF is perfect for me. It covers more than a tinted moisturizer for sure but still has a natural and glowy finish and is really matching the comfort I need for my dry skin.
The offer is here and this one is the bottle, I ordered it for myself and I received the bottle half-price, which is just totally amazing as an offer, you get 30ML in the bottle, and if you take the one with a pen you get 2x7ML.
I hope this helps you decide π
Oh, really? I didn’t know they had Suquu in UK. Then I might ask my sis (she’s in Nottingham)to get them for me if she can:) Thanks for the link! I’ll def check it out!
Perfect ! That’s the best solution !
Thank you Sonia ; I ordered the Ellis Faas 102 at half-price , so pleased π AND I also got a 10% discount for signing up to niche-beauty’s e-mail letter . What a bargain :)))))
Amazing that they have this reduction isn’t it ?
Yesterday morning I wanted to do my usual EF smokey eye and I couldn’t … π
After 5mn clicking without success I guess nothing was left in the pen, so I had to place a little order to replace this E105 pen.
I also got one to replace my fav EF L108 lipstick because by the sound of it it’s also getting to the end…
AND I got a few darker EF lipsticks to try, at 10β¬ the pen that’s just insanely tempting !!!
Yup, the offer is too good to pass up – especially as it is paired with Niche Beauty’s really excellent customer service!!
I also decided to experiment with some of the darker shades:)
I got the L102 and L303 and using them as a stain is perfect.
I use the E104 every single morning on my brows. The grey brown color is perfect for me. I got a backup of this too & a backup bottle of the 102 foundation.
Hmm….I haven’t looked into the L108 yet. Better rectify that pronto:))
Happy Sunday!
The L108 is a nude lipstick I found nice pics here for you π
can’t wait to receive my order, they are so nicely packaged !
Happy Sunday too π
Thanks π
Got the L108 and popped a few red EF lippies into the basket too.
I’m not really a red lip girl, but I figured at this price I could do some experimenting:D
oh great !
I can tell you that if I do a EF smokey eye and pair it with the L108 IT’S GORGEOUS !!!
Same for me, I saw a few sheered applications on the lips on some blogs and they were very wearable for daytime ! can’t wait !!
P.S. Living in Switzerland, I imagine you’ve tried the La Prairie skin caviar concealer foundation? I had it applied yesterday & am smitten. The price is horrendous so I’d really like to hear if you have any negative feedback before I splurge. The SA says it will last me for at least a year becasue one needs so little. It’s very tempting!!
Buggsiebee: I used that foundation a few years back and remember going through a replacement or two. Of course I then moved on to the latest… Wonder if its the same formulation?? It was well worth the money IMO.
No I didn’t !
I need to try a foundation at least for 4 days in a row to make sure it works for my terrible skin, I don’t think I could get a sample of that here, I will try to ask..
They don’t often have samples of that kind of luxurious skincare π
I will check it out, how was it feeling on your skin ?
Hey Buggsiebee ! I was interested that you use the E104 for your brows .Do you apply it straight on from the pen , or with a brush ? I’ve yet to find my eyebrow HG : I used to use the Suqqu brow pen , but all that drawing and concentrating first thing in the morning drove me nuts π Then I tried MACs Lingering and I was going to try their Omega eyeshadow powder next – grey/brown as you said .I’ve been using an old Laura Mercier double-ended brush which is great , one swipe with the blunt-cut end , and then the thin half of the brow with other end . I’d like quite thick looking eyebrows . Is it best to use a dedicated eye-brow product , or any eye colour that suits ? thanks Helen
Hi Helen:)
I put a pinprick of the E104 on the back of my hand & then use the Hakuhodo Kokutan eyebrow brush to apply it . I let it dry for a minute or two after application and then brush through gently with a spoolie so that the brows don’t look so obviously doctored. The E104 doesn’t budge all day which is exactly what I’m after. I don’t draw my brows thicker , I just fill them out. The Kokutan brow brush is also an absolutely HG brow brush. I tried soooooo MANY brow brushes before I discovered the Kokutan. It’s firm but still soft enough not to be scratchy. Perfect for my thin brows.
Hi there Stacy!
Thanks for the FB:)
I had seen it before but it somehow never interested me much. Perhaps it wasn’t on my radar because there are hardly any reviews on it . The SA used Golden Beige on me & I was sure it was going to be way too dark, but it looked great. She gave me a sample which I used again today & I’m really impressed.
My report back on to the Karl/ Shu bordeaux palette = great quality shadows & a beautiful blush. I could not do a complete eye makeup on my aging lids with only these colors though. I like at least one matte color to deepen the crease but there’s nothing matte going on in this palette at all.
Thanks for your advice b.b.; I just ordered the Kokutan H2296 eyebrow brush ( water badger ). You know whereof you speak :))
I guess it makes more sense to use a cream eyeshadow because with a powder it’s going to fade during the course of the day .
BTW , what is a ” spoolie ” please ? hxx
Thank you for the FB on the Shu palette !
Next week I will be receiving lots of new things… including this palette ! The postman is probably going to have a heart attack !!!
– I might even hear some swearing if it snows π
I hope I can upload a few posts before I leave for the weekend π
Did you apply for leave from your trusty followers:D
Where are you off to?
I’m not sad about the Shu palette. I just can’t use it alone.
The foundation feels great on – light – & is so easy to apply. They do have samples of the foundation so do try to get some. I would have thought that La Prairie would be more readily available in Switzerland.
π Just leaving on Friday evening, a very quick trip to Barcelona to meet my boyfriend and some other friends for the weekend.
Although I am back on Sunday evening, I am taking you with me π
and this time I am not leaving without a guaranteed internet connection at the destination π
Well, I will check that very soon for the foundation ! I will try to go this week:)
At the mo I’m using this spoolie ( generally used for combing through eyelashes / eyebrows )
http://www.kohlindo.se/butik/anvandningsomraden/ogon/ogonbrynsborste-screw-gs-15
but a synthetic brush works just as well imo.
Oh ! One of THOSE ! I see π thanks again Buggsiebee hx
Mmmmmm…..Barcelona sounds like a fun way to spend the weekend;)
Pity Summer’s over. Are you the translater??
I’m sure you could get a sample or two of the La Prairie when you’re in London.
Should be π
They will certainly manage without me, I am just joining for some tapas and some fun with my worldwide friends and colleagues!
La Prairie is in my “try list” π
Just made an Omorovicza Deep cleansing mask… great feeling afterwards I have to say.
I try to prepare my skin a bit better, the Armani fusion foundation makes little patches around my nose so I want to make sure it’s not the state of my skin that is causing that π
I have read that about the Armani. I have the feeling that it works best when it’s warm & a bit humid. Perhaps you should save it for the Summer months?
I also enjoy the deep cleansing mask but my fave Omorovicza product has to be the thermal cleansing balm. It’s darn expensive though, so I alternate it with my other face washes. I always get a little thrill when it’s Omoroviczas face wash day:)
There was one Tapas bar which we went back to every day for the entire week while in Barcelona. It’s called Ciudad Condal – Rambla de Catalunya, 18. If you haven’t been there before then just do:))
Have you tried the TF foundation or the CdP?? Stacy’s doing some tempting there too!!
yep, it is definitely better in summer ! Review of this and also of the Astalist jelly coming up this week π
I wrote down the address and I will go there for tapas, thank you!
Yes I have the TF foundation, it’s in my top 3 foundations! I love it to pieces.
I wrote (very briefly) about it here, and I am still loving it !
I am also trying the Cle de Peau, Stacy sent me some samples, I have tried it a few times and it was fantastic, delivers a heavier coverage than the TF but it’s very comfortable to wear (didn’t do my 4-days-in-a-row yet). RMK and Cle de Peau foundations are waiting for me ! I can now start wearing other foundations since I am done with the Armani.
Do you have the TF liquid / stick / both?
Which RMK foundation will you be trying? The new gel cream one? Did Carol send you samples? Which shades did you get? I find the foundation rather likeable, but the 102 shade is too pale & yellow for me. I need to check out the 103…..and now the TF of course. OMG why can’t I just have my young skin back and forget about finding the perfect foundation?!!
Btw, the Tapas bar I recommended specialises in beers from around the world, so the men in your group of friends should be in their element.
I have the liquid one in Fawn, it’s a bit too light that’s why I only use it in winter, for summer my match would be Bisque I think (I tried it at the counter and I believe it’s that one).
The stick is more like a foundation/concealer usage, I heard it wasn’t that good for the whole face but I don’t know for sure. I have to find the link of that review.
Carol sent me the RMK 102 sample, it looks like the perfect match but I have to try it again and check it properly in daylight. We are very lucky to have access to these great products, I couldn’t even think of wearing foundation at all 5 years ago π
I totally agree that the stick TF is perfect for concealer usage along with the liquid. I love them together. I can’t wait to hear what you think of the RMK!
Just going through your old posts now that I think I’ve memorised all the newest ones! Sonia, do you happen to have the RMK Mix Cheeks LE Ex-02 Coral Pink? And how it compares with the standard line-up?
And do you also happen to know what the difference between the different RMK labels are? ie, Modern Cheeks, Translucent Cheeks, Mix etc?
π so sweet !
I’ll be brief : nothing compares to this blush, of course I have it. Since I will soon be at the RMK counter with a few questions and I’ll also get some info on the differences of their blush range. They seem to really love it when people is interested in their products ! Last time I talked to them in Selfridges they were amazed that I knew “so much” about brushes (it’s not that much but more than most of their occasional clients), I talked to them about Chikuhodo, etc and it was so much fun and interesting !
For example for the RMK anniversary collection they explained why that amount of colors in the blush, why the different type of pigmentation of each color, etc etc.. and how you should swirl the brush in order to pick just the right amount of color… unfortunately I forgot most of the things they told me π
I’ll come back with more info, but if you need to splurge on their blushes, I recommend their mix for cheeks, and if you like pink-coral, take the Ex-02. My favorite ever.
I think we all have ur posts mentioned! You’re so thorough and have all these great quotes π
I saw the Ex-01 Orange Gold as well, as I was wondering how that worked as well. If you have it please let me know! I have a lot of corals so I was thinking the Ex-01 might be more unique. And if I’m lusting for a TF blush still, I’ll get Flush to sate my coral desires…. but Ex-02 looks so lovely as well π I don’t know what to do!
Please let us know when you come back from Selfridges! I’m sure everyone here has probably now picked up a RMK blush, or is going to, so we would love to hear. You are our portal hehe π And you do know a lot about brushes – this is really the best blog on brushes that I’ve come across just on sheer variety. I love that you talk about Koyudo π
All have your posts memorised* — That’s what happens when I’m staring at the new fu-pas at the same time as typing π
I’ll let you know tonight, will try to look at it in more detail π
We are all troubled by all these Fu-pas !!
I will check tonight the length of the brushes in the Christmas set so that I can tell you for sure which ones they are π
Bonnie, the orange blush is nice but the Ex-02 is the blush of the century, if you love corals, you need this Ex-02 and it’s so difficult to find that if you have the opportunity to get it you should pick that one.
I you really want an orangey blush, then go for the Ex-01, it’s more obvious (in terms of shimmer + color) than the Ex-02 but still far away from the Nars Taj Mahal and also more wearable, the Ex-01 is great for summer with a little bronzey look, the Ex-02 is more appropriate for winter… but who cares π
I’ll go for the Ex-02 but it has to come from your “guts”, it’s has to be one that you really really want !
I will be paying RMK a loooooong visit π
ooooooooh!!! So glad to hear that my dear!! Please let me know if there is anything that can’t be ignored!!!!
Okay, thanks sooo much π I bought the Ex-02! I like the look of the Ex-02 more as well, but I was thinking I have so many coral blushes already and if I’m getting TF Flush then that’s just more coral but who can resist?
Please let us know how it goes π
