Guerlain is recently creating products that are real hits. It started with the Blush G Serie Noire and since that day, I always follow closely the new collections, very excited to see what new products will come out but always waiting with trepidation because I know that if I am tempted, it’s gonna cost me… Guerlain is very expensive here and therefore, it can get really scary !
Since the collections in Switzerland come out much later than in the USA, it gives me some time to prepare and check out the online reviews, that’s the only benefit of that huge gap between the release dates !
With this Emilio Pucci collection, this Terra Azzurra Bronzer & Blush is the star of the collection. When I saw it for real I was convinced I had to get it, to me, a must-have. Not only it’s a beautiful piece, but I love the result when I use the bronzer and the blush as two separate products, as opposed to mixed together.
It comes in a pouch with the iconic Emilio Pucci print, I am not really a great fan of this print, I don’t know why, looks a bit old fashioned to me – please don’t throw a stone at me 🙂 – but I like that it comes in a pouch and I think it’s an absolute necessary item to keep your bronzer safe while traveling. You have to align the 3 magnets in order to snap it closed, it closes quite firmly but I would not carry it without the appropriate pouch to protect it.
I like how this kind of objects can look amazing and intriguing on the dresser, the outer case pays tribute to the paneling of a Riva yacht with an ebony-colored varnished wood.
The picture can be misleading, but, it’s actually two separate parts.
When I swatched it, it instantly reminded me of the Sisley l’Orchidee which I love, I will swatch them side by side for you.
I love both results, the Sisley is peachier but you can’t use the Sisley as two separate colors, well, not easily, I mix them together and use it to sculpt my cheeks. With the Guerlain you really have two products, a blush and a bronzer and that’s how I use it, I don’t really like both mixed together, the result is a bit too orangey on my skintone NW20.
I am also surprised how strong the smell is on the Guerlain, if you don’t like products with a strong smell, you won’t like this one. I am still on the fence since it’s so strong, I can’t smell it on my skin but if you leave it open for a while you will notice it for sure, I don’t know what perfume it is but it’s heavy.
Bottom line
Both products are very expensive, a real luxury, the Sisley is less expensive in Switzerland than the Guerlain, I know that in the USA it’s the other way-round. I bought both with some special vouchers that I was reserving for very expensive and extraordinary purchases and these were just the right ones !
I love this Guerlain and the blush is really long-lasting on my skin, I consider a blush long-lasting when I apply my make up at 7am and at 3pm I can still see it… that was a very good surprise.
But… if I had to choose only one… I still prefer the Sisley… shame it’s so expensive…

I just discovered your blog! So glad I did… I have read from the first post on and am now all caught up 🙂 My favorite brands are apparently yours as well and I look forward to seeing more posts!
I really hesitated on the Guerlain Terra bronzer and blush (I have sooo many) but I am very pleased that I went ahead and purchased! It has become one of my favorite bronzers, the color and application are wonderful. I now have my eyes on the Tom Ford bronzer….

Hi Stacy, thank you so much for your kind comment !
Well when you love bronzers you tend to have too many… same with highlighters 🙂
Guess what ??? I have ordered the TF in shade Terra yesterday, as soon as I receive it I will review it 🙂
I made the biggest haul yesterday, so many products in their way to me… will soon be adding posts…
thanks again for stopping by 🙂
Terra is the one I want! I am in the US but have no TF counter near me so all of my purchases are online with the help of blogger’s swatch photos and reviews. I can not wait to see what else you ordered!!
I would also love to hear your thoughts on the TF blushes you have. I have two and “need” more but the intensity of the colors concern me…..
Thanks again for your lovely and informative blog!
Stacy
When I saw this.. I knew it was coming home with me.. Such beautiful shades and lovely formula..
Hi 🙂 same for me ! could not leave without it 🙂
Stacy, I have nearly all the items from TF, including the blushes, I love all of them very much and I have the intention of doing more TF reviews shortly, I will try to upload swatches if possible on the cheeks…, TF is one of my favorite brands, together with Suqqu, Le Metier, Chantecaille, Shu, Burberry… even if they are pigmented you can work and blend them perfectly well !
On its way… the Le Metier blush kit and also the Chauvet kaleidoscope as well, Burberry make up, Chantecaille cheek cremes, and more…
Thanks again 🙂
Hi, I discovered your blog via Wayne Goss’ YT channel and I love your blog. I had this compact and loved the look and packaging at first. It is a little too heavy for travelling and the color is too dark for my fair skin. What a shame! I wanted to like it, but I will stick to my usual Guerlain bronzers. I love the meterorites powder though, it has always been a favorite of mine.
